I’m Kieran Mahon. DesignChief is my brand design studio in Dublin.
I work with founders, leadership teams and in-house brand leads as a design partner, on the brand itself and everything it touches: identity, websites and the digital tools a business runs on.

Who will I be working with?
With me, Kieran Mahon, from the first brief through design, build and launch. DesignChief is my studio, so there’s no account manager in between. When a project needs something outside my own work, I bring in a specialist. For photography, I work with my wife, Michelle O’Sullivan of MOS Photography, a portrait photographer specialising in newborn and family work, who also shoots commercial and team photography for my projects.
Where are you based, and do you work with clients outside Ireland?
DesignChief is based in Dublin, Ireland. I work with clients across Ireland and abroad, including in the US, and projects run just as well remotely.
What kinds of businesses do you work with?
Founders, leadership teams and in-house brand leads, from new businesses starting with a blank sheet to established companies in property, finance, healthcare, food and technology. What they share is a brand that has to work hard across print, packaging, websites and the tools their teams use every day.
How does a project run, from first contact to launch?
It starts with your enquiry. Once we’ve agreed the scope, I set a clear direction with you: who you’re talking to, how you’ll sound and where the brand needs to go. Then I design and, where the project includes it, build, with rounds of feedback along the way. You finish with the files, guidelines and, for a website, a live site your team can manage.
Do you use AI in your work?
Yes, where it helps. I use AI-assisted tools and workflows alongside my own design and development work, and the design judgement stays with me. I also build BrandChief, so your team’s AI tools can work from your approved brand rather than guessing at it.
