Coalesce is a collective of award-winning photographers and videographers committed to storytelling through high-quality visual content. With an established identity already in place, the team were seeking to mature their brand presence and significantly improve their website platform. The goal: to better showcase their work, communicate their ethos, and take full control of their content through a modern, scalable CMS.

Elevating the platform for a national network of creatives

DesignChief worked closely with Coalesce to design and build a new Webflow website that reflects the quality of their services and provides the flexibility they need to manage and grow their content. The project also included optimisation of supplied brand assets and the development of a consistent digital style system.

Strengthening the brand identity

Although the logo was provided, there were some technical and typographic inconsistencies that needed attention. DesignChief refined and resupplied the artwork, reviewed type choices, and developed a lightweight brand system suitable for web use. These adjustments brought clarity and consistency to the identity without changing its core character.

A design system tailored for flexibility

The website was designed in Figma, allowing for iterative feedback through shared prototypes before moving into development. A modular layout approach was taken, enabling the Coalesce team to build out new pages or update sections with ease while staying true to the design system.

An online style guide was also created, giving the team a clear reference for brand colours, type usage, and component styling. This ensured that future updates or content additions would remain visually consistent without external input.

Built for storytelling

With a large and growing portfolio of content—from corporate photography to dynamic press and PR work—content structure was key. The Webflow build introduced a clearly defined CMS structure that made it easy to upload blog posts, gallery items, service updates, and team profiles. This empowered the team to maintain and evolve their site in-house, with full editorial control.

The new design also prioritised accessibility, user experience, and clarity of messaging, enabling users to quickly understand Coalesce’s offer and explore the work on their own terms.
